Not knitting! but still crafty. My Retro arcade PACMAN pumpkin for Halloween this year :)
A lovely gift for a lovely friend. My first attempt at cross stitch in over 10 years.
This pattern was taken from Cross Stitcher magazine. I then backed it using the machine and stuffed it to make a small decorative hanging cushion.
I’m happy with how it turned out :)
Not knitting, but with my first attempt at machine sewing I knocked up a reversible apron from this book:
Very proud of myself :)
Crochet monkey I was commissioned to make for a friend to give as a handmade gift.
This was the largest toy i’ve ever made, and it took much longer than i expected to finish.

My new wool storage bag. Full to the brim!!
It has little rocket men on it. So cute!

clutchcrushmusic-deactivated201 asked: I bought some yarn and crocheting needles and I'm having a really tough time just doing a chain stitch. I finally got the slipknot down, but I can't seem to make a chain stitch correctly. It seems like each stitch is either bigger or smaller than the last. Got any advice?
you’ve just got to try and keep your gauge the same. ie: not pulling too tightly or not leaving it too loose.
its also worth checking whether the yarn you have is the right weight for the size of hook you have. ie: thinner yarn with a fatter hook means it will have more gaps. Using a thinner hook will close those gaps a little.
here’s a great website with tips for beginners that i regularly use to remind myself.
